Everyone seems to be asphyxiated with the looming “sequestration” created by Barrack Obama last year in order to “avoid creating another budget”, a plan that only reduces the growth of spending by 2% over the course of ten years. You just heard that right — there are no “cuts” to spending — it merely places a cap on how fast our spending can grow with our current programs. So why is everyone so worked up over this?
The answer is fear mongering. From the start, the democrats have been trying to tell us that this sequestration will cut the military, it will cut prison funding (they even released DHS prisoners in a temper-tantrum), and that it will “harm” the american family. (more…)
